hi, does damage reduction from things like knight's boots work for every piece of armor or just the shoes?

i am hearing conflicting reports and i'd like to know before i craft my armor.

also, do the same rules apply to runes of absorption?

Absorption from Knight's/Ascalon armor is global. It will affect all damage you take, so there is no benefit to wearing a whole set as opposed to just the boots. The same rules apply to runes of absorption as well.
